Fantastic holiday, one of the best. Brilliant job by Japan Travel Centre. Everything was organised perfectly and all went to plan. We were very grateful for the inside knowledge on where to stay and go. The rail passes were good value for money and very efficient. Thank you for organising a brilliant holiday.

Excellent help and advice with arrangements and bookings of jetfoil, hotels, ryokan and bus to Sado island Earth Festival - which was really fantastic.
Eating out was much cheaper than we had anticipated, the trains were punctual, the people so so helpful, polite and lovely.
Would have loved to stay longer and explore more.
We are a family of 5- two adults and 3 kids - 16,14,11- a fantastic and memorable experience for the whole family and something for everyone.

We took a nine day 'combination tour, - 3 days Tokyo, then Hakone,Takayama, Kanazawa then Kyoto, with Sunrise tours (booked very efficiently through Japan Travel Centre in the UK) before going to a Congress in Kyoto.
Organization was superb- everything was like clockwork. When traveling by train we were met by guides waiting for us on the platform. Hotels were all excellent- clean, comfortable and well located with outstanding service. City hotels not surprisingly tended to have small rooms. We were on the 'cheapest' package but that is not surprising and there is no point in upgrading. The tour was arranged so that we saw a variety of different sights and areas, shrines, temples, view points, gardens, heritage houses, cities, country etc.
We particularly loved Takayama, and would have liked to have stayed there longer. For those who have not been to Japan, we were surprised how early restaurants closed - often 8.00 pm, but evening the hotels by 9.00 pm. Also Japanese punctuality is absolute- when a time is given it is meant, including the public transport. The guides were very good indeed. Only in Kyoto, did we feel overwhelmed by the number of other tourists. Overall we love to go again, and if so we would arrange to spend an extra day or two in Hakone and in Takayama.

This was our third trip to Japan. Both previous visits were for 8 or 9 nights so it was brilliant to be able to stay for 3 weeks on this occasion. Japan is a wonderful country and having longer on this occasion enabled us to more fully appreciate what the country has to offer. Visiting a combination of cities and much smaller towns, although perhaps not on many of the obvious tourist routes, meant that we had a very varied and ultimately extremely relaxing experience. Kinosaki Onsen was a real highlight. We loved the traditional feel of the town, the accommodation was superb and the public baths were amazing. Similarly Naoshima was stunning. Obviously this is an area that would especially appeal to someone with an interest in art but I would recommend to anyone visiting to try and find time for at least an overnight (but ideally 2 night) visit. Japan Travel and in particular Wakako were just brilliant in helping me to plan our visit. It is extremely rare to come across such a level of professionalism. All of the questions I asked and advice that I needed were handled promptly and with the clarity I needed to be able to plan what turned out to be a perfect trip. Wakako could not have been any more thorough with the advice that she provided and the detail with which she handled my enquiries. I could not recommend Japan Travel any more highly. We had an absolutely perfect trip and I am incredibly grateful to Wakako for helping to make this possible!

I travelled with my 18 year son who has always had an interest in Asia and Japan in particular. We stayed in Kyoto, Kinosaki. Miyajima Island, Hiroshima and Tokyo. We also visited Nara and Himeji as well as climbing Mount Fuji to watch surmise. The whole trip was a fantastic experience but the highlights would be climbing Mt Fuji and going up the Skytree inTokyo. Tokyo is huge and could be a bewildering place to first experience Japan. Starting your trip in somewhere smaller such as Kyoto gives a chance to get used to things like the subway without being overwhelmed. Wandering around the back streets in Kyoto or Hiroshima is great fun, discovering tiny restaurants and bars with no real risk of getting lost. We felt ready when we finally arrived in the big one at the end of our trip. The JR pass is a great value way to travel and I would recommend prebooking seats (no extra cost) for any long distance trips. If you are prepared to get up early you can be very ambitious with how far you can travel for a day trip if your on the bullet train.

It was my first visit to Japan. I found it a great experience and cannot wait to return. Despite the language barrier it was surprisingly easy to get about helped by the fact that the vast majority of locals were extremely patient and willing to help.

The holiday was excellent. It was arranged extremely well and all ran smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed the cities we visited and were particularly impressed with the hospitality and civility of the Japanese. The train travel was great and the service was extremely efficient. I would strongly recommend the company and would definitely travel with you again.

I went to Japan to study and practice the language and immerse myself in the culture but it is the people, above all, who make Japan a very special place. I feel very grateful for your help, which was done with heart and made possible my wonderful stay in Japan. Everything went well and the accommodation was convenient and adequate, given that it was a budget choice. The hotels near the airport made life much easier I will return there as often as I can. Unfortunately, my ignorance of technology makes it impossible to share my photos of, for instance, the archery on horseback contest I saw in Kyoto.

I liked Japan. Everything went smooth. Then plan stood 100%. Good guides on our tours and great assistance from the Japan Travel Centre. Hot and humid but after the trip I think it is good that we did not get any heavy rain or typhoon since our accommodation was tents. The Lunch buffet was the best food we got the whole trip. Thanks. We got the perfect Mt Fuji view but there was construction in front of the observation deck I will send to you the view. But our tour guides informed us that we were lucky to be able to see the mountain. no mist and no clouds. We got a good look on the Bus. In Iceland we are used to see mountains so we thought it is strange that we were so lucky. The Tokyo morning tour was also great. We got little taste of Tokyo. The tour guides were great. The JR passes worked fine we could use them also to get around Tokyo. We lost two passes on the way to our host one in Yamaguchi station and one on the train to Yokohama. We got both passes back to use in Tokyo. Japan is great everything we lost we got back. Even the bag that I left in Heathrow:-) We would like to thank you for the great job. From the Icelandic Scouts.
